about

This is a collection of tracks I recorded over the span of about three years between 2016 and 2019 and that I felt fit together thematically as well as sonically. A good portion of the collection of tracks were inspired by the ongoing refugee crisis in the Middle East, North-Africa, Asia and Europe and so you'll hear tones, harmonies, beats and atmospheres that loosely resemble or are influenced by this part of the world mixed with "western" instruments and ambient electronics. This less a political statement but rather meant as a homage to different cultures and the mix of those which we all should rather embrace than fear.

about

Ruekin Seattle, Washington

I am a US-based and German-born composer and producer. I first experimented in the 80s with field recordings and electronic ambient sounds inspired by Brian Eno, Jon Hassell, David Sylvian, Ryuichi Sakamoto and others.

I intend to build passages through imaginary landscapes, taking the listener on journeys that can be calming or brooding, real or otherworldly or anything in between.
